2nd European Network and Information Security Conference 16-17 November, 2006 Vilnius, Lithuania
The 2nd European Network and Information Society conference will be held on 16-17 November 2006 in Vilnius, the Republic Lithuania. It is organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, European Network and Information Security Agency and Communications Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Lithuania.
A High level Working Group is created on New-Generation Passport and Visa Documents Information Technologies in CIS
On October, 27 the Coordinating Council on Informatization of CIS member states of Regional Community in the Sphere of Communications made a decision on the necessity to use the experience of all its members to implement programs aimed to create national systems of Passport and Visa Documents with biometric data.
